Experienced Hire Management Consulting

Getting started

Do you already have a number of years of professional experience, ideally acquired in a strategic consultancy or corporate? Then join goetzpartners as an Experienced Hire. Your entry level will depend on your industry experience, subject matter and management expertise. As an Experienced Hire, you take charge of projects and lead your team from your first day on the job. You build strong relationships with clients, craft solutions for strategic challenges and steer the process of taking a workable strategy into practice. Within goetzpartners, you assume responsibility for an Industry or Practice Group and drive forward key areas such as business development, thought leadership and bringing in new clients. You have the opportunity to consistently develop your leadership skills, and are there for younger colleagues with advice and practical help in terms of their professional and personal development.

Your career pathway is highly individual, and depends on your entry level. As a Senior Consultant, you can become a Manager within just a year. From the Manager level and up, we focus on honing your leadership skills and equipping you for the next stages in your career.

Developing talent

In addition to classic on-the-job training, we offer a variety of opportunities for you to develop and grow both professionally and personally, and to progress your career in the direction you wish.

TRAINING

The goetzpartners Academy offers training specific to your level, and accompanies you throughout your career. As an Experienced Hire, your training will focus on personal development, building your expertise, and your leadership and sales skills. You attend regular training camps with your international peers to keep your knowledge sharp and up to date. And if you take a major step up in your career at any point, we will prepare you with specific training.

COACHING & MENTORING

By your side from day one: your mentor. He or she will make sure you settle in and help you with any questions you have about your career. Your project team will take care of coaching in everyday practice, and you will receive regular, constructive feedback as part of project evaluations, which you can channel into actively progressing your own development. Feedback is a two-way process at goetzpartners: you are regularly invited to give your feedback on colleagues or project managers in our 360-degree program.

WoRKiNG INTERNATIONALLY

Feel the pull of faraway countries? With 14 offices worldwide and projects in more than 100 countries in the last three years alone, you have every chance of international deployment. 70% of our consultants are engaged with projects outside Germany, work in international teams or spend 6-12 months in other countries as part of our office transfer program.

Flexibility

To sustain a successful career, it should be compatible with your personal interests and what else is happening in your life. This takes considerable flexibility - which is what goetzpartners provides. We offer various part-time working models (including 10+2/11+1) or the possibility to take a complete sabbatical break - for the family, further education or just to follow a dream.

Recruiting process

You can apply as an Experienced Hire at any time. Please send us your complete application with cover letter and CV. We shall carefully review your application, and give you our response shortly afterwards.

CLASSIC RECRUITING DAY

The recruiting day is all about getting to know one other and exploring the fit - professional and personal - between potential recruits and goetzpartners. We present our company, give insights into how we work, and answer all your questions.

You will usually have up to six meetings, and your interviewers will be at least one level above your entry level and have the same specialisms in terms of industry and subject matter expertise. This approach ensures you have a good idea of the people you will be working with should you join us. We shall give you our final decision shortly after the recruiting day.
