Getting started

If you have a master's degree, you join goetzpartners as an Associate Consultant. Right from your first day on the job, you will be a full member of the project team, and will also work on-site in client organizations. And what can you expect? You will research and analyze intelligence on markets, competitive landscapes and other subjects, produce benchmarks, lead interviews with experts and prepare compelling presentations, workshops and client meetings. You get to know a broad range of industries and clients, gain a good general understanding of our business, and will soon work out which subjects and industries interest you most. You will contribute your experience to our Industry and Practice Groups, where you might for example help to produce research studies or project proposals. Alongside your work on projects and developing the business, there are many opportunities to get involved, for example in our university marketing activities or training.

After two years with the company, you have the opportunity to enter an MBA or PhD program with the support of goetzpartners. Your career path remains highly flexible. Even without a further degree, you reach the next level - Consultant - after around eighteen months.

TRAINING

The goetzpartners Academy makes you fit for consultancy practice, and ensures you have a steep learning curve. Within their first few months, new recruits spend a week at an International Boot Camp: a busy agenda with training to build hard and soft skills, teambuilding, and also lots of fun. You will undergo other training specific to your level throughout your entire career at goetzpartners, and will also have individual opportunities for professional development.
 

ACADEMIC DEVELOPMENT

Would you like to take your academic education to the next stage? After two years of excellent performance at goetzpartners, you have every opportunity. Whatever your ambition - to complete an MBA program, do a PhD, full-time or part-time: we back you all the way with funding, our corporate infrastructure and network. Also valuable: we assign you a coach for the entire duration of your program.
 

COACHING & MENTORING

By your side from day one: your mentor. He or she will make sure you settle in and help you with any questions you have about your career. Your project team will take care of coaching in everyday practice, and you will receive regular, constructive feedback as part of project evaluations, which you can channel into actively progressing your own development. Feedback is a two-way process at goetzpartners: you are regularly invited to give your feedback on colleagues or project managers in our 360-degree program.
 

WoRKiNG INTERNATIONALLY 

Feel the pull of faraway countries? With 14 offices worldwide and projects in more than 100 countries in the last three years alone, you have every chance of international deployment. 70% of our consultants are engaged with projects outside Germany, work in international teams or spend 6-12 months in other countries as part of our office transfer program.
 

Flexibility 

To sustain a successful career, it should be compatible with your personal interests and what else is happening in your life. This takes considerable flexibility - which is what goetzpartners provides. We offer various part-time working models (including 10+2/11+1) or the possibility to take a complete sabbatical break - for the family, further education or just to follow a dream.

CLASSIC RECRUITING DAY

The recruiting day is all about getting to know one other and exploring the fit - professional and personal - between potential recruits and goetzpartners. We present our company, give insights into how we work, and answer all your questions. You then present your CV and discuss business cases in up to five interviews with our advisers. In addition, you give a brief presentation to the interviewer team and complete a multiple choice test. The final decision will be communicated directly after the recruiting day.

SUMMITEERS RECRUITING EVENT

Our Summiteers recruiting event, which takes place only in Germany, has the slogan "Start your career with Alpine views". The two-day event high in the mountains gives candidates the opportunity to get to know goetzpartners better, and engage with future co-workers at all levels of the organization. A group case, an outdoor challenge, teambuilding and a convivial get-together in an Alpine refuge are a valuable complement to traditional interviews. Once you have conquered the mountain and cracked the case, you go home with a job contract in your pocket.
