Why goetzpartners

I used to work for a small consultancy, until I felt it was time for a new challenge. I wanted to work in a more international setup, with engaged people to gain greater inspiration for my own career. At this point in time, a former colleague who became Managing Director at goetzpartners contacted me to say that he found the kind of company that I was looking for. Shortly after my interviews at goetzpartners, I had a contract in the hand. Since then, I have been working for goetzpartners’ Milan office in the Private Equity Practice, advising financial investors on their investments in Italian champions – really interesting and challenging work!

MY MOST CHALLENGING PROJECT

My most challenging project to date was a strategic due diligence for a leading Italian financial investor. In a short period of time, we had to make a holistic assessment of an international company. I was working in close cooperation with international clients and colleagues. We worked long hours for some weeks, but I learned a lot about diverse business models and executives, scenario planning as well as company valuation. It was well worth it as the deal was successfully closed.

BEYOND PROJECTS

All colleagues are engaged in activities beyond projects. I am supporting our recruiting team in finding the best possible team members for our Milan office. goetzpartners always welcomes new ideas to develop and shape the future of our company. We have a unique, heterogenous and fun office culture. An essential part of this are our Friday get togethers „alla Milanese”, where we have the chance to exchange ideas and to talk about business and non-business topics.

MY PERSONAL BACKGROUND

After high school, I did my Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, specializing in Strategic Management. Thereafter, I did my Master’s degree in International Management at the Bocconi University in Milan, which became one of my favourite cities. Early on it was pretty clear, I wanted to work in the consulting business – after internships at McKinsey and Porsche Consulting, I am now happy to work in my favourite city, doing mainly Private Equity projects with people I really appreciate.
