I wanted to work at a company that was big enough to have an international presence and an exciting portfolio, but also small enough to have a strong culture and to allow employees to make a difference, no matter what their level. goetzpartners was a perfect fit. The people at goetzpartners are a true differentiator, and you quickly experience that when you join the company. Every office has a close-knit atmosphere, which makes even the most challenging days at work enjoyable.
MY MOST CHALLENGING PROJECT
The projects I have worked on at goetzpartners have varied both in terms of scope and industries, from telecommunications and transformation to consumer goods and strategy. One of the most challenging was a transformation program for a global telecom operator. The project spanned 14 countries and three continents. Rolling out the same approach in different entities, and coordinating the project across time zones was not an easy task – but also an exciting one.
As a consultant at goetzpartners, you can actively participate in company activities beyond your formal responsibilities. For example, I helped to organize a goetzpartners event in New York, the “Quality goes Digital” roundtable. The event brought together representatives of various industries to discuss the impact of digitalization on quality organizations. This was the first professional event I helped to organize at goetzpartners, and it was a great experience – seeing industry leaders in the same room, sharing their views, and generating new ideas was inspiring.
MY PERSONAL BACKGROUND
I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in the U.S. with a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Political Science. After graduation, I moved to Moscow, Russia, where I started my career in consulting at a larger international firm. Having gained initial consulting experience, I decided to join goetzpartners as the next step. Since then, I have worked on projects in 10 different countries, and am now based in the New York office.
